The summer season is coming in hot! It’s time to shed light on the up-and-coming trends for summer 2024. These chic trends will be easy to find and will probably be everywhere this summer. Some of these trends have been popular for years and some have made a comeback.
As fashion trends evolve, there is no doubt that there are classics amongst the new trends. So, whether you are going on a vacation trip or just hitting your local mall this summer these trends will dominate this summer season. The most common basic summer essentials to beat the heat are to wear shorter sleeves, lighter fabrics, and brighter colors.
My favorite thing do to is wear lighter fabrics and brighter colors for the summertime. However, I do wear black and I find that wearing black is the exception to the rule. Wearing black specifically looks great on everyone and it fits almost every single occasion. So, even in the summertime black can be worn with anything trendy or classic.

Summer 2024 Trends
1. The Fringe Trend
This first trend is making a comeback and it’s fringe. Fringe is usually found in cowgirl or bohemian clothing. You can find fringe on jackets, boots, dresses, and skirts. Fringe is so fun to wear to festivals and concerts. You can wear fringe to the rodeo or to a local fair. There are so many places you can wear fringe and so many ways you can wear fringe.
Fringe clothing is not only very fun to wear but also very comfortable. The style has a lot of personality and charm. It’s definitely worth trying to wear fringe at least once in your life if you still haven’t tried it or even thought about wearing it. It’s just like they say, “buy the outfit and the occasion will find you”.
Fringe is something I usually don’t have in my wardrobe but I’ve been thinking of adding it because of all of the different looks I’ve been seeing on social media. I love how some girls combine a fringe blouse with a fringe skirt and then add on a hat and some boots. I’ve also been intrigued by Western wear recently, which I actually find can be very chic. Depending on how you style it, I think that it can make anyone look amazing.

2. The Gold Trend
The gold trend is a classic and it’s also made a comeback. Wearing gold is an instant confidence booster and it gives you such an opulent look. Wearing gold jewelry or heels just makes any piece look so enticing. Gold is a statement color and it evokes drama, elegance, and confidence. It will also make heads turn when you step into any room.
The color gold complements those with warm or olive skin tones. Gold looks great when you combine it with black and white. It adds a pop of color and it also looks great in green, navy blue, teal, purple, red, and pink colors.
Wearing gold with black is my favorite combination not only does it look elegant but it also makes me feel confident. I wear a lot of blazers with gold earrings and it’s been my staple for a long time. I also love to wear gold with denim and crochet cardigans.

3. The White Dress Trend
The white dress trend is classic and it’s known to be the color of dress for summertime or vacation time. The white dress can fit perfectly with a straw hat and some gold sandals. White is such a perfect color to wear for summer because of its light color and the refreshing feeling of wearing something white.
White dresses make any look classy and chic and combining it with gold or glitter can elevate it even more. The white color looks well with any other color in the spectrum so you can add any other type of color of accessory to make it pop. Add emerald, ruby, or even pearl earrings. The choices are endless with white dresses.
White dresses are very sophisticated and I love to wear these to brunch or on vacation. They are comfortable, refreshing, and are perfect for any occasion. Although I will be the first to say please don’t wear white dresses to any weddings this summer or any time of the year. Follow the dress code or wear anything else but white because it’s time for the bride to shine on her big day.

4. The Glitter Trend
The glitter trend is all about rhinestones, sequins, and actual glitter. We will be seeing a lot more dresses with some sort of shine this summer. If you’re going to a festive event or just heading to dinner glitter dresses can be an option.
Summer calls for bright or soft pastel colors so why not add it to the glitter trend? Combine the two and dress to the nines! Shine brighter than a diamond this summer and wear the sparkle, confidence, and positivity. Sparkly dresses can really make a statement as they can be dramatic on their own so wearing subtle jewelry works way better than wearing dramatic jewelry.
This has to be one of my favorite trends because I love shimmery clothes. I love how fun they are to wear and how amazing they make you feel. My usual go-to when it comes to glitter is having sequins on my blouses. If I need to tone it down depending on where I’m going I add a blazer on top. I also focus on using glittery accents on my jewelry or my shoes.

5. The Leather Trend
As confusing as it sounds leather will also be a trend this summer. Leather is usually a heavier material used in the cold winter but now it’s making a comeback for summer. Leather pants, skirts, and jackets will be trending this summer. I think this trend is perfect for those who work in an office or will be participating in indoor events.
Leather is a much denser fabric and when it’s worn over our shoulders it exudes strength and power. Its durable fabric makes for a great piece to have in your wardrobe. So, if you’re ever going to a party or heading to the office make sure you focus on purchasing a piece that is comfortable enough to wear for hours.
I’ve owned a couple of leather pieces in the past but it’s not something I always wear throughout the entire year. I leave leather for the winter. I also live in a location that has really hot summers, so this trend is not fit for me. However, I do see someone who lives in cooler areas wearing leather or someone who works in an office wearing something like this in the summer.

6. The Mini Dress
Ah, the mini dress how I remember seeing these so much growing up in the 90’s and early 2000’s. The mini dress is making a comeback and we love to see it. There were so many romcom movies that mentioned the mini dress or had characters dressed in mini dresses. It’s an iconic staple of summer fashion.
There are all types of mini dresses with embellishments, ruffles, or sometimes even made of tweed fabric. Summer fabrics are usually on the lighter side but tweed dresses can work well in the summer too. Capture a fun and flirty look with a mini dress this summer and go out to brunch with the girls!
Mini dresses are really cute and I usually would wear them to special events or to a special dinner. My preference usually remains with maxi dresses. I love that I don’t have to always worry about not showing too much. If I do wear mini dresses I always make sure to wear shorts underneath or Spanx.

7. The Sheer Trend
The sheer trend continues to trend throughout the summer. The feminine qualities of sheer fabrics really bring out the softness and gracefulness when someone wears these types of fabrics. They are great for the summer because they are thin and breathable fabrics.
These soft fabrics are really great for both special events and daily attire. They are great to add to any wardrobe because they can not only showcase feminity but also elegance, sophistication, and chicness. You can wear sheer clothing with almost anything or turn it into anything you want. It’s a versatile fabric and works well with other fabrics.
My favorite type of blouse to wear is a sheer blouse. I love to add a camisole underneath the blouse. If the blouse includes fabric underneath then it’s even better. When I used to work in corporate my go-to blouse was always a sheer blouse. I wore these especially in the summer and I layered them accordingly with blazers or I made sure to wear a camisole underneath.
