Going to brunch with friends this weekend and don’t know what to wear? That’s ok because we have all been there where we get invited somewhere and we just don’t have anything to wear. However, you have landed at the right place! You will find some amazing inspiration to style new and cute brunch outfits.
I absolutely love a good brunch meal. For those that don’t know brunch is the meal in between your breakfast and lunch hence the word “brunch”. Brunched focused locations are very aesthetic in the sense that their is a lot of gourmet food and usually have artsy or garden inspired decorations. This inspired me to create some looks for these types of locations especially during the spring and summertime.
I believe that its a lot easier to style your outfit by knowing where you will be going. I mean understanding the event and environment is crucial to styling your outfit. This way it makes it easier to feel comfortable no matter you are.
The best example for this is brunch! Brunch is classy, artsy, and a conversation type of outing. I encapsulate all of these themes throughout all of these cute brunch outfit inspirations. All of these outfits would be described as classy, artsy, and even conversation starters.

1. Puffy Sleeve Look

The puffy sleeve look is charming, classy and just the perfect for a brunch look. Elevate your look by adding jewelry like gold jewelry. Gold jewelry is timeless and complements so many different outfits.
On the other hand, gold is also a great investment when buying jewelry. For example, 24k gold pieces would be much better than 18k gold or lower grades. This is because 24k is pure gold meaning that it will hold it’s high value over time in the case you need or want to sell it for cash.
This look is insanely beautiful with work slacks, an elegant waist short, or a long skirt. It’s a feminine look that will enhance your frame. Especially, for those with smaller shoulders or triangle figures.
However, if you have broad shoulders I wouldn’t say to avoid wearing something but I think it’s all about studying what type of puff sleeve works best for you. I would say to focus on puff sleeves that are much on the smaller side or maybe off the shoulder puff sleeves. It’s just about thinking how will this make sense for me and trying them on.

When it comes to a floral dress look it’s all about the details of the dress. If floral patterns are not your thing, I would suggest a small or minimal floral pattern. On the other hand, if florals are your thing then large sized floral patterns would be perfect for you.
When it comes to me, I tend to be super picky with the patterns of the clothes I wear and this also includes florals. It can take some time for me to find something that really calls out to me. I usually pick based off of the overall design or the intention of the overall look. If it’s a well thought out design and its beautiful it will for sure be going home with me.

The off-the-shoulder look I made is a more of a romantic look. I love this look because it really emphasizes elegance. It’s clean, sleek, and will look stunning on almost all body types.
Creating cute brunch outfits can really just mean to create simple outfits that has a sense of casualty to it. They are not too overbearing nor will they be too casual. They are also be easy to style and you can dress it up or down with the accessories.
4. Pleated Skirt Look

Wearing a pleated skirt during the spring and summertime is gorgeous especially if it’s light in color. It gives off elegance and charm, which is perfect for a brunch outing with your best friend.
This is a great outfit for those with more smaller frames and thinner body shapes. I can use myself as an example, I use to weigh over 200 lbs and this outfit would have not worked well on my body shape. A pleated skirt really emphasized my waist and made it look much wider than it really was. Now, that I’ve lost over 70 lbs it would look much better if I would to wear a pleated skirt again.
If you are plus size, I would highly suggest wearing body con styles or tighter fitted skirts so it can hug all the right places. They don’t have to be short but as long as they hug all the right places your are so good. I’m still on my weight loss journey, so it will take some time before I can really adjust to my new style and body since I was so used to wearing certain types of clothing all the time.
5. Minimalist Look

The minimalistic look, I would say would be a more casual and with far less detail. It would also have subtle colors like beige, brown, creme, white, black, etc.
I went with a basic tank top and some denim jeans. This pairs so well with a thick heeled sandal and a basic purse. You can also add a belt to really make your look pop.
This outfit looks great on everyone and you can also layer on a cardigan on top or a blazer and make it even more stylish.
6. Maximalist Look

I absolutely love ribbons and I love to wear them on my hair or on my casual clothes. I would also just like to say that I’m 31 years old and I still wear ribbons. It shouldn’t be wrong or taboo for older women to wear ribbons or bows. Throughout history women would wear bows on their dresses and in their hair well into their old age. So, if you love bows girl wear them with your hearts content!
You can also add some simple pants or jeans and loafer shoes to really make your outfit look balanced. Also, add a pearl necklace for some added flair.

The denim jacket look is simple and casual. I feel that not everyone loves to wear over the top clothing, so I added this look to really balance it all out.
It’s not too over the top but it’s tidy and simple. For this look, you want to focus on the fabrics like for the tank top. You might want to look for a texture that is sleek like satin, and for the denim to be really dark that gives more emphasis on the buttons. Which really enhances the details of your outfit.
Tie it all together with some chocolate Adidas Sambas and a small cross body bag, and you got yourself a cute brunch outfit for the weekend!
15. Mini Skirt Look

One of cutest brunch outfits you can style has to be a mini skirt look. The mini skirt has been trending because of the resurgence of the Y2K era, which is why I wanted to incorporate it in this post. I think its perfect to wear a gourmet brunch with your girls.
For this outfit, you want to accompany this short skirt with a gorgeous blouse that would really highlight the skirt. You don’t want your blouse to outshine the skirt for this look.

Going to brunch is probably one of my favorite things to do especially with friends and family. I love to get together with my loved ones. I always try to experiment with different pieces of clothes every single time.
I would also suggest to mix and match pieces and curate different looks to match the event your going to or even just your mood. I think it’s really important to find what works best for you and figure out what makes you feel authentically you and that is how you start building your style.
